Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, says the clip of him on Bhad Bhabie’s diss track toward Alabama Barker is AI-generated.

The rapper hopped on Instagram Live to clarify that he had not recorded a verse for Bhabie and wanted no part of her drama with Alabama.

“You know, I’m not in the middle of none of this AI beef, people throwing my voice on things, the whole ‘Carnival’ sample. I just talked to Travis Barker. I would never be in the middle. I don’t even know what’s going on,” Ye stated.

In case you forgot, Bhabie dropped a track titled “Ms. Whitman.” The record samples Ye and Ty Dolla Sign’s single “Carnival” and takes aim at Alabama amid their ongoing feud. In the song, Bhabie blasts the influencer for allegedly trying to get with her baby daddy, Le Vaughn, and doubles down on claims that Alabama was pregnant by Tyga. Ye admitted to clearing the sample for Bhabie but says he didn’t do so as a slight toward Alabama.

“I just got sent a song and asked if I could clear the sample. Only reason why I clear anything is because so many people try to stop me. They stop clearances. Everything has been very difficult for me. So, anybody asks me for something, I always clear it,” he explained. “I’m not cool with being put in the middle of all this at all. So any verse that be going viral using my voice and all that, it’s like, I didn’t do it.”

Bhabie has not spoken out about why she used an AI-generated version of Ye’s voice, though the situation caused quite a stir online.
