Tony Buzbee Has Now Withdrawn from 15 Diddy Lawsuits in New York

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs‘ legal team has filed an opposition to attorney Anthony Buzbee’s attempt to be admitted pro hac vice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. The filing argues that Buzbee engaged in serious professional misconduct, including unauthorized practice of law, violations of court rules, and making prejudicial public statements about Combs.

In the filing, Combs’ attorneys state, “Buzbee’s egregious misconduct warrants denial of the privilege of appearing in this District.” They claim that Buzbee signed multiple filings in at least 22 cases without being admitted to practice in the court and failed to disclose this lack of authorization. Additionally, they accuse Buzbee of violating New York’s Rules of Professional Conduct by making repeated public statements suggesting Combs’ guilt in criminal matters.

The opposition highlights that on February 13, 2025, the Chair of the Committee on Grievances for the Southern District of New York denied Buzbee’s request for admission due to his prior unauthorized court filings. The filing also states that “Buzbee has falsely accused Mr. Combs of sexually abusing dozens of children when Mr. Combs has never been charged with such crimes.”

Further, the opposition asserts that Buzbee’s public comments, including statements made at a press conference and in media appearances, violate professional conduct rules by prejudicing ongoing litigation. It points out that despite being warned about his violations, Buzbee continued filing documents in multiple cases without seeking proper admission.

Combs’ legal team urges the court to deny Buzbee’s motion, arguing that his conduct raises concerns about his ability to practice ethically and professionally in the district.
