Tory Lanez is missing his former fling, Iggy Azalea while serving his ten-year prison stint.
On his new album “Peterson,” Lanez expresses his longing for Azalea on the track “9$IDE x Amethyst.” He calls out her rap name before using her real name, pleading for her to reach out.
“It be nights I want to talk to Iggy, but she blocked me,” he sings. “Amethyst, if you ever hear this s**t, shawty, call me / You know that I’m always makin’ spicy b***hes salty.”
Lanez then reflects on their past, offering an apology.
“I miss when you wrapped around my body like a tall tee / New me come correct because the old me was the wrong me / Old me cuss you out, the new me disrespect you calmly,” he continues.
On “Guide Me Through the Storm,” he raps, “County jail crying real tears to Iggy Azalea / I know you put up with some s**t that just wasn’t familiar.”
In 2023, Azalea wrote a letter to Lanez’s judge before his sentencing, defending his character.
“Daystar Peterson is not the pest you have heard about, he’s a gardener. He helps others bloom,” she wrote. After public backlash, she clarified that she hadn’t spoken to him in months but wished him well. “I don’t ‘support’ anyone,” she stated, adding that her letter never addressed the shooting incident.
