J.Hud and her fiancé, reality star & wrestler David Otunga, have been engaged for 5 years, and she is perfectly okay with that. Why? Because she only wants to do the marriage thing once.
There have been many rumored wedding dates and every time those dates come, the wedding is postponed. Some sources have said that Otunga refusing to sign a pre-nup is just one of the reasons the wedding hasn’t happened. In the January 2014 issue of Essence Magazine, Jennifer Hudson discusses why she hasn’t walked down the aisle just yet.
“Yes, there was a date set, and that date has come around again every year. In fact, the date may keep rolling around. When I’m ready to be married, I will be married. It’s that simple. Everyone should just chill. Our relationship is very strong. We’re both huge family people, and I’m only going to get married once. So I’m not rushing into anything.”
To have to push the date back over and over definitely tells us something is wrong but J. Hud is right, ain’t none of our business.
