Not even 4 months after the Cameron Bay HIV+ incident I get word that the porn industry has been shut down AGAIN. Not even 4 months, people. The FSC (Free Speech Coalition) has caused for a HALT in p0rn production.
According to the FSC website
Free Speech Coalition (FSC), the adult industry trade association, called for a production moratorium today after one of the testing facilities in its PASS testing system reported a positive HIV test for an adult performer.
“There was a positive test at one of our testing centers. We are taking every precaution while we do research to determine if there’s been any threat to the performer pool,” said FSC CEO Diane Duke. “We take the health of our performers very seriously and felt that it was better to err on the side of caution while we determine whether anyone else may have been exposed.”
The next steps will be to perform additional tests, determine a timeline, and identify any first generation partners.
“We want to make sure all performers are protected. The performers’ health and safety is the most important thing,” Duke added.
FSC called for all production to halt immediately, until further notice. Updates will be posted to the FSC-PASS website and the FSC blog.
Now, remember I reported that there were 5 people that tested positive in the sex industry in August and September, on both the straight and gay side of p0rn. It took a few weeks before everyone came forward. You WOULD think that after 5 people testing HIV+ would be a cause for alarm and people would be careful with the sexing. They even changed the testing from 30 days to 14 days in between porn shoots.
I was able to find out that Patient Zero, is INDEED a male performer who has tested positive and he is based out of California. He has allegedly known about his status a few days and he has tested positive two times. Although he has yet to come forward and reveal his positive status, it is known that this male performer IS a crossover talent. He does straight AND gay porn.
Allegedly, according to MikeSouth.com and other forums and websites, the male performer’s name is TJ Cummings, whether this is factual or not, this is the alleged name, that’s been travelling around the industry. TJ Cummings has been in the industry since 1998.
Let the record show that NO ONE has contracted HIV on a porn shoot since 2004. All of these HIV+ performers have contracted the virus through their relations off set. Men and women escort to make money on the side, to be honest, unless you’re a contracted performer you aren’t making that much money. So in order to line your pockets with some quick cash, you’re going to screw fans or John Doe’s on the side…give them the PSE (Porn Star Experience). Either way, the HIV virus is NOT contracted during a scene, it’s after, when all is wrapped up on set. That’s when some come BACK to work with bumps and stuff *coughs* Mr. Marcus *coughs*. If you are an adult performer, be safe out there. A $50 blow job isn’t going to add more money to your life, IF, you infect other sex workers on set.
If this HIV shutdown is ANYTHING like the Cameron Bay incident, trust me…we’ll see more HIV+ results, let’s hope not. The timing sucks, well HIV sucks anyways, but…it’s the holidays and now no one is going to be able to make any money. Let’s hope you end up with COAL in your stocking instead of an HIV+ test result.
