The Harlem rapper recently expressed his willingness to check in on the hip-hop mogul, even though they aren’t on the best terms.
During a tribute to The Notorious B.I.G.’s mother, Voletta Wallace, on “It Is What It Is,” Mase was asked about rumors of him sitting with Diddy’s son, Christian Combs, at Voletta’s funeral. Mase shared during Monday’s episode, “I think we looked at each other. I don’t think he saw me, I would have said what’s up,” adding, “If my name was on the list I’d go visit Puff. I would visit him, make sure he was good.”
Despite their differences, Mase remains grateful for Diddy’s role in his music career, acknowledging, “He didn’t do all bad, he did some good. I ain’t talking about the tape stuff, I’m talking about the musical side. Giving me an opportunity.”
The ex-Bad Boy artist also stressed that, while unsure of Diddy’s innocence regarding current sexual trafficking accusations, he would take the opportunity to clear the air with his former friend and boss.
“If they throw my name on the list, I think right now will be a perfect time for me and him to have a conversation,” he added.
Mase also teased a new album release in May, coinciding with Diddy’s trial, adding, “The first day of the Diddy trial. We’re dropping.”
The “Feels So Good” star previously slammed Diddy for allegedly ripping him off financially. In 2020, Mase called Diddy’s business practices “extremely unfair.”
