John Legend Announces “Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour”

“Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour”

John Legend is taking fans back to where it all began. The 13-time Grammy Award-winning artist has officially announced the Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour, a global celebration of his groundbreaking debut album. The highly anticipated tour kicks off on May 27 in Glasgow, UK, with stops at major venues across Europe and North America, including The O2 in London, Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and Barclays Center in New York. Additional dates are expected to be announced soon.

Presale tickets for UK and European shows go live on Wednesday, March 19, with general sales starting Friday, March 21. North American presales begin Wednesday, March 26, followed by the general sale on Friday, March 28. Fans can visit johnlegend.com for full details.

A Special Tribute to a Classic Album

Legend’s Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour will see him perform his entire 2004 debut album live, bringing back beloved hits like Ordinary People, Used to Love U, Number One, and So High. The album, which won three Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Album and Best New Artist, helped solidify Legend as one of the most influential voices in R&B and soul.

In addition to Get Lifted, Legend will also perform some of his biggest hits from across his 20-year career. Fans can expect deep cuts, fresh renditions, and plenty of surprises along the way.

Special Appearance on The Tonight Show

To mark the tour’s announcement, Legend will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon tonight, where he’ll be both a guest and a musical performer. He will be joined by Black Thought for a special performance of Used to Love U, which appears on the newly released Get Lifted (20th Anniversary) digital deluxe album.

The anniversary edition features collaborations with Tems, Killer Mike, Lil Wayne, and Simi, along with 11 bonus tracks, including new remixes, rare B-sides, and previously unreleased studio recordings from the original Get Lifted sessions.

From Behind-the-Scenes to Superstar Status

Before his debut album, Legend was already making waves in the industry. He played piano on Lauryn Hill’s Everything Is Everything and sang backup for Jay-Z and Alicia Keys. As the first artist signed to Kanye West’s GOOD Music, Get Lifted became a massive success, debuting in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and later earning double platinum certification.

Since then, Legend has continued to evolve as a musician, actor, and entrepreneur. He has released ten studio albums, become an EGOT winner, and launched his own skincare brand, Loved01. He is currently a coach on The Voice and runs Get Lifted Film Co., a production company behind projects on Netflix, HBO, and other major platforms.
