Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal battle is shifting after a major move by attorney Tony Buzbee. The high-profile lawyer, known for representing clients in high-stakes cases, has withdrawn from seven lawsuits filed against the music mogul.
According to court documents, Buzbee’s withdrawal comes after a judge pointed out that he is not admitted to practice in the Southern District of New York, where the cases are being handled. In response, Buzbee filed motions to remove himself as legal counsel in multiple lawsuits against Diddy.

Legal notices filed on March 19, 2025, confirm Buzbee’s formal request to step away from the cases, stating that the plaintiffs will continue to be represented by other legal counsel. CourtListener alerts also showed multiple docket entries reflecting his withdrawal from the cases.
This latest development adds another layer of complexity to Diddy’s ongoing legal troubles. The music mogul is currently facing multiple lawsuits, with allegations ranging from sexual misconduct to other serious claims. With Buzbee stepping down, it remains to be seen how these cases will proceed and whether new legal representation will be brought in to replace him.
As the legal battle unfolds, all eyes will be on the courtroom to see what comes next for both Diddy and the plaintiffs involved.
