Quinta Brunson is ending her marriage. The Abbott Elementary creator and star has officially filed for divorce from her husband, Kevin Jay Anik, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
According to court document, Brunson submitted the petition on March 19, 2025 and listed their separation date as TBD. The Emmy-winning actress also noted that the couple had a postnuptial agreement in place to handle their assets and requested that each party cover their own legal fees.
Brunson, who has always kept her relationship private, never publicly confirmed her marriage until her 2022 Emmys speech, where she called Anik “the most supportive man I’ve ever known.” She later expressed gratitude for him again during her 2023 Golden Globes win.
Brunson and Anik tied the knot in October 2021. Neither has publicly commented on the divorce filing.
