Donald Trump took one of his most aggressive immigration actions since returning to office, canceling the legal status of 900,000 migrants who had been living in the U.S. under a program known as humanitarian parole.
Many affected migrants learned about the cancellation through a simple email from the Department of Homeland Security, informing them that their parole had been revoked. While the Supreme Court did allow deportations to move forward, the justices added one condition: detainees must be allowed to challenge their removal in court.
