The city unveiled a new honorary road sign at the intersection of Reading and Maple Street on Saturday, proudly named “Katt Williams Way.”

Williams, born in Cincinnati and later raised in Dayton, Ohio, has achieved widespread acclaim, selling out arenas nationwide and starring in films such as “Next Friday” and “First Sunday.” Additionally, his stand-up specials have also garnered praise, with the most recent, “Woke Foke,” debuting on Netflix in May 2024.

The event also saw Williams joined by fellow comedians Mo’Nique, Mark Curry, and Red Grant, as the Cincinnati neighborhood celebrated the comedian’s remarkable career. Williams addressed the large crowd, showing his gratitude for his hometown’s endless support.

“I’ve been in the business since 1995. This is the thing that means the most to me. Even if it’s honorary, I appreciate ‘Katt Williams Way,'” he stated before the sign was revealed.

Both Mo’Nique and Curry shared their appreciation for the 53-year-old as the ceremony was taking place, with fans also lining the streets to show their love for Williams.
