Shannon Sharpe’s $50M Sexual Assault Case Ends with Quiet Settlement

Pro Football Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe is facing a $50 million civil lawsuit filed in a Nevada state court by a woman identified as “Jane Doe.”

The 13-page complaint outlines allegations that include emotional distress, assault, and the unauthorized recording of private moments. According to the filing, the woman and Sharpe were involved in a relationship that lasted nearly two years. The complaint states that while the relationship began consensually, it later became strained.

One key claim in the lawsuit is that Sharpe allegedly recorded intimate moments without the woman’s knowledge and shared them without her consent. The plaintiff also points to a separate incident involving a livestream, which she was not part of, but which reportedly contributed to her decision to start distancing herself from the relationship.

After that, the lawsuit claims Sharpe continued reaching out to her despite her efforts to disengage. It also outlines two incidents—in October 2024 and January 2025—in which the woman says her boundaries were not respected.

Sharpe has not publicly responded to the claims. At this time, the case is a civil matter and no criminal charges have been filed.

The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Micah Nash and Tony Buzbee. Buzbee is known for handling high-profile cases, including representing women in lawsuits against NFL quarterback Deshaun Watson and more recently individuals involved in civil actions against music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs.
