In a recent interview with Zach Baron for GQ, Thug shared his thoughts on Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.” In the wildly popular track, Lamar accused Drake of using Atlanta rappers to boost his image and numbers, specifically his longtime collaborator, Thug.
“Thug made you feel like you a slime in your head,” Lamar rapped.
From behind bars, Thug called for Drake, Future, and Metro Boomin to settle their differences last year.
“@Drake @1future @MetroBoomin we all bruddas. Music ain’t the same without us collabin,” he tweeted, which was retweeted by Future.
When addressing the lyric and the feud, which played out while he was still incarcerated, Thug chose Drizzy’s side in the matter.
“Yeah, [Kendrick] just spoke on people’s name in Atlanta,” Thug said, addressing the controversy. “I don’t know what that was about. I’m a Drake fan.”
Thug’s response shows his continued loyalty to Drake, despite being caught in the crossfire of the ongoing Kendrick-Drake feud. In late 2024, the Toronto superstar revealed he helped cover some of Thug’s legal fees in the controversial YSL RICO case.
