It looks like Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts will be noticeably absent when his team celebrates their Super Bowl championship at the White House.

According to veteran journalist Yamiche Alcindor, a White House official reportedly confirmed that Hurts would not be attending the event scheduled for later today. The reason given: a “scheduling conflict” affecting Hurts and other players.

Yamiche Alcindor, a renowned political correspondent who has worked for NBC News, PBS NewsHour, and The New York Times, shared the news via her social media. Alcindor is well-known for her in-depth reporting on the intersection of politics and culture, often bringing critical issues facing the Black community into national focus.

While the visit to the White House is a long-standing tradition for championship teams, it’s not unusual for individual players to miss the ceremony for various reasons, including personal obligations or, at times, political statements.

Hurts, who led the Eagles through an impressive season, remains a pivotal figure for the franchise and a respected leader on and off the field.
