ICE Raid Mistakenly Targets Innocent Family in Oklahoma City, Leaving Them With Nothing [Video]

What was supposed to be a fresh start for one Maryland family has turned into a legal and emotional nightmare after federal agents stormed their Oklahoma City home, only to find out they had the wrong people.

A woman, going by the name “Marisa,” says she and her daughters were abruptly woken early Thursday morning when about 20 armed men burst into their house. The agents claimed to have a search warrant, but none of the names listed matched anyone living in the home. Marisa and her family had just moved in two weeks earlier after relocating from Maryland, seeking a quieter, more affordable life.

The raid quickly turned chaotic. Marisa says the agents, claiming to be from U.S. Marshals, ICE, and the FBI, forced her and her daughters outside in the rain, barely clothed. She says they weren’t even given time to dress in private, adding to what she describes as a deeply humiliating and traumatizing experience.

As the search unfolded, Marisa claims the agents tore through their belongings and confiscated all of their electronics, including phones and laptops, as well as their entire life savings in cash. Despite repeatedly telling them they were U.S. citizens and new to the residence, she says the agents dismissed her pleas and treated her family like criminals.

It wasn’t until later that Marisa realized the names on the warrant matched individuals who no longer lived at the address. Old mail addressed to those individuals was still being delivered to the house. But by the time that was clear, the damage was done; her family was left without money, phones, or a way to move forward.

To make matters worse, no agency has claimed responsibility for the raid or the seized property. The U.S. Marshals Service denies involvement, while the FBI first acknowledged assisting, then later denied being present. Homeland Security has yet to follow up after initially promising to investigate.

With her husband still in Maryland during the incident, Marisa says she was left alone to deal with the aftermath. No agents left contact information or a receipt for the items taken. Now, she’s struggling to find answers and wondering how her family will recover, both emotionally and financially.

“This wasn’t justice,” she told local news. “This was terror.”
