Florida State QB and Heisman trophy frontrunner, Jameis Winston, is being investigated for felony sexual assault stemming from an incident in December 2012. A young woman filed a complaint with Tallahassee PD claiming Winston committed sexual assault with the use of physical force in an apartment around 4am. It was said that drinking was involved. Photos and physical evidence were collected by police.

A rep for Florida State University released a statement regarding Winston and his status at their school:

“We are aware of a matter that was investigated by the Tallahassee Police Department almost a year ago. Because the investigation has not been closed by TPD, we cannot comment further at this time. We look forward to a speedy resolution of the issue. There is no change in Jameis Winston’s status.”
