Pop-Tarts is stepping out of the toaster and into the freezer.
The iconic breakfast treat is getting a chilly new twist as parent company Kellanova just announced a line of Pop-Tarts-inspired ice cream sandwiches and pints that are hitting stores this summer.
Starting in May 2025, fans will be able to snag Pop-Tarts ice cream sandwiches exclusively at Walmart. Flavors include Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Frosted Strawberry, and Frosted Chocolate Fudge. Each is layered with creamy ice cream and sandwiched between pastry-style ends that echo the classic Pop-Tarts texture.
Later in the summer, ice cream pints will be making their way to select retailers nationwide. Expect to find Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, Frosted Strawberry, and Frosted S’mores flavors, each packed with indulgent swirls and Pop-Tarts pastry-style pieces.
“Pop-Tarts is a brand built on delicious flavors and playful spirit – and this frozen debut captures that energy perfectly,” said Frances Alvarez, SVP of brand management at Beanstalk, the exclusive global licensing agency for Kellanova’s food and beverage innovations.
Pop-Tarts follows in the footsteps of other Kellanova brands like Eggo and Rice Krispies Treats, both of which launched their own frozen treats earlier this year.
