Joe Biden is speaking out after revealing he’s been diagnosed with aggressive prostate cancer.
On Sunday, Biden’s personal office confirmed that the 82-year-old received the diagnosis last week after a nodule was found during a routine physical exam.
According to the statement, doctors caught it early and have already started treatment. His medical team says he’s in good spirits and continuing his regular duties for now.
Biden has since taken to X to address the news. He posted a heartfelt message alongside a photo of himself, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, and their cat Willow.
“Cancer touches us all,” he wrote. “Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
The White House has not yet released a detailed health report, but sources close to the family say the president is staying optimistic and plans to remain active while managing his condition.
