DaBaby Dropped from Lawsuit Over Bowling Alley Fight with DaniLeigh’s Brother After Judge Cites Delay

DaBaby just walked away with a win in court over the messy bowling alley beatdown involving his ex DaniLeigh’s brother.

A Los Angeles judge officially tossed the rapper out of the lawsuit Brandon Bills filed, saying the case dragged on way too long without proper action. Bills, whose real name is Brandon Curiel, claimed in his 2022 lawsuit that the rapper approached him at Corbin Bowl and threatened to throw hands “in a loud, bellicose manner.” He said the alleged attack left him with a “severe injury.”

However, Judge Huey P. Cotton shut it down, writing, “The only thing that made timely service difficult was plaintiff’s own lack of urgency.” He pointed out that Curiel didn’t try to have DaBaby served by the sheriff or seek publication service until over two years later, and even then, he didn’t follow through.

“Plaintiff’s own briefing establishes lack of diligence,” the judge said.

Curiel mentioned a security guard “brandished a weapon” at a process server. Still, the judge noted that the incident allegedly happened almost two years after the suit was filed. While DaBaby is off the hook, Corbin Bowl still faces a negligence claim. They’re now blaming DaBaby in a cross-complaint, and a jury trial is set for October 2026, though there is a possibility that it could also be canceled.
