In a calm yet pointed court appearance, Kid Cudi testified that his Porsche was intentionally set on fire in 2012, and he believes Sean “Diddy” Combs was connected to it.
According to Cudi, the fire happened while he was away from home. He rushed back after receiving a call from his dog sitter, only to learn that a Molotov cocktail had been thrown into his vehicle. Photos shown in court revealed the roof had been cut open to allow the firebomb to reach the interior.
What followed, he said, was an unsettling face-to-face meeting with Combs at the SoHo House in Los Angeles. Cudi told the court Combs stood with his hands behind his back, calmly looking out the window. He described it as almost cinematic, likening Combs to a “Marvel supervillain” in demeanor.
When Cudi asked what they were going to do about the car, he said Combs responded that he didn’t know what Cudi was talking about. The conversation ended with Combs asking if they were “cool,” to which Cudi replied, “You burned my car.”
The rapper said years later, Combs offered him a general apology about “the past,” but never directly addressed the car fire.
Cudi’s account supports earlier testimony from Cassie Ventura, who told the court Combs had threatened to burn Cudi’s car and claimed it would happen while he was out of the country.
Diddy is currently facing serious federal allegations, including sex trafficking and racketeering, all of which he has denied.
