Jackie Chan is ready to suit up as Inspector Lee again, but the ball isn’t in his court.
During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, the action legend confirmed he’s down to return for another Rush Hour movie.
When asked if fans can expect Rush Hour 4, Chan kept it real: “We are waiting on the studio, the script, the director, and Chris Tucker,” he said. “Hurry up before we get 100 years old.”

It’s been nearly two decades since the last Rush Hour hit theaters. The original movie dropped in 1998 and became an instant classic, pairing Chan’s strait-laced Hong Kong detective with Chris Tucker’s fast-talking LAPD officer, Carter.
The mismatched duo’s chemistry made the franchise a hit, with Rush Hour 2 following in 2001 and Rush Hour 3 in 2007.
Since then, fans have been begging for a fourth film. Over the years, rumors have swirled about a sequel being in development, but nothing has made it past the talking stage.
Both Chan and Tucker have teased the project before, but this is the most direct update in a while.
Fans have waited 17 years for Rush Hour 4. If it finally happens, it’ll be the comeback comedy-action fans didn’t know they still needed.
