Kevin Durant recently told former NFL player Emmanuel Acho that football guys should stop talking about basketball on television. When you hear takes like this one from former running back LeSean McCoy, it becomes clear why Durant feels that way.

During a segment on Fox Sports 1’s show “The Facility” this week, McCoy made the bold claim that Steph Curry is not a better one-on-one scorer than New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson.
“This may not be popular — I’m a Steph Curry fan — but I would say one-on-one, I think (Jalen) Brunson scores better than Steph,” McCoy said. “I think Steph is a better player, obviously, but what I’m saying is when you got the right team and structure, now Steph can be Steph.”
Brunson had a great year, winning Clutch Player of the Year and leading the New York Knicks to the Eastern Conference Finals.
However, when it comes to Brunson’s offensive style, he relies heavily on drawing fouls, and, from a viewer’s perspective, his game isn’t the most visually appealing.
Meanwhile, Steph Curry is widely regarded as the greatest shooter of all time. His body of work speaks for itself. Take a look at some of the reactions from fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) in response to McCoy’s take.
