TDE Singer SiR Says Drake Got His Toronto Concert Shut Down Over Kendrick Lamar Beef [Video]

TDE artist SiR is finally opening up about why his Toronto concert was suddenly canceled last summer, and he says it had everything to do with the tension between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

The singer had a sold-out show lined up in the Canadian city, but fans were left disappointed when it was called off at the last minute. At the time, SiR said, “So sorry to my Toronto fans. The show has been cancelled. We’re working on rescheduling for a later date. For those wondering, we sold that show out. It was cancelled by the venue. Not sure why. My apologies again to those that came just to see me.”

Now, after finally making his return to Canada, SiR shared that the real reason behind the cancellation wasn’t the venue itself, but its connection to Drake.

“I kinda got caught in a feud,” SiR explained during a recent performance. “So the venue in Toronto, which was partially owned by Drake, cancelled the show completely. Then when we tried to switch venues, the next venue was like ‘nah we ain’t f**king with it, I ain’t taking no motherf**king chance.’”

SiR wasn’t the only TDE artist affected. ScHoolboy Q also had his Toronto show canceled during the height of the beef last summer. He vented online, saying, “They just canceled my show in Toronto. Canadian police don’t want nobody from TDE performing.”

Drake has not responded publicly to SiR’s claims.
