Former Bengals player Adam “Pacman” Jones appeared in court Wednesday after being arrested over the weekend on charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication, and assault of an officer.
Police say Jones, 41, was arrested early Saturday morning following a disturbance at the Second Story Bar in Covington, Kentucky, involving a customer and an employee.
According to the arrest report, when officers arrived, “they were directed to a car trying to flee the scene.” During the traffic stop, Jones was identified as a passenger and taken into custody based on “his level of intoxication and behavior.” While being transported to the Kenton County jail, Covington police allege Jones “assaulted the arresting officer,” resulting in additional charges.
Jones, who had no visible injuries, was all smiles when he appeared in court Wednesday for an arraignment where his attorney entered a plea of not guilty. He did not speak during the short hearing and “declined to comment.” His attorney entered a not-guilty plea on his behalf, and his next hearing is scheduled for July 8th at 1:30 p.m.
The former cornerback’s legal troubles are not new; he “has a long history of run‑ins with the law dating back to 2005. Jones pleaded guilty in December 2023 to a charge of disorderly conduct following an airport arrest in September of that year.
As he awaits further court proceedings, fans and critics alike will be watching closely.
