Miami‑Dade law enforcement has issued an attempted murder warrant against former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown, alleging he fired a gun at a celebrity boxing event in mid-May.

The Washington Post confirmed a judge signed the warrant Wednesday, citing the charge of “attempted murder with a firearm.”

Prosecutors say the incident unfolded shortly after midnight on May 16th in Miami’s Little Haiti district. Brown was reportedly detained at the scene, released hours later, and has now been ordered to post a $10,000 bond and stay under house arrest. According to the warrant obtained by the Post, the bond conditions also include strict location monitoring.

Brown’s legal troubles come after a wildly publicized scuffle during the May celebrity boxing match that ended with gunfire. Authorities say Brown allegedly discharged a firearm at someone following the event. The warrant confirms, “attempted murder with a firearm,” but does not name any victims by name.

A judge’s signature on Wednesday made the warrant official, demanding Brown’s bond posting and confinement pending trial. In Miami-Dade court records reviewed by the Washington Post, the attempted murder charge is listed alongside the bond requirements.

As of June 12th, Brown remains under the terms of his court-ordered release. Law enforcement has not disclosed any further details about the alleged victim or whether additional arrests are expected.
