Voted for Trump, Now Crying for Her Undocumented Dad in ICE Custody

A South Florida woman has gone viral on TikTok after posting a tearful video from immigration court, pleading for the release of her undocumented father—while also revealing she voted for Donald Trump. The emotional rollercoaster of regret, identity, and politics has captured the internet’s full attention.

In the now-viral clip, the woman fights through tears as she begs a judge not to let her terminally ill father die behind bars. She described how he lived in Florida for decades, working the same construction job and raising five kids. “The one thing he needs most is the one thing we can’t give him—us,” she said in her court statement. “Please don’t let him die in a cell.”

The judge denied her request for a conditional medical release.

But that wasn’t the only bombshell in the story. As the video made the rounds, viewers quickly pointed out that she had previously voted for Trump—a president known for his hardline stance on immigration.

After getting dragged in the comments, the woman posted a follow-up video addressing her political past. She admitted she was wrong.
She opened up about how growing up in South Florida, she was surrounded by conservative voices and didn’t question what she was told. She didn’t teach her first daughter Spanish, believing at the time that it wasn’t important. But after having her second child, something shifted. She started to reconnect with her roots and realized how disconnected she had become from her own culture and family.

“I was brainwashed into thinking I was one of them,” she admitted. “I fell for the propaganda and normalization of cruelty.”
She called her vote for Trump “the ultimate betrayal” of her community and her own father. Now, she says she’s educating herself on immigration, racism, and how people in power manipulate the narrative. She’s asking for grace but knows she might not get it. And she’s still fighting to get her dad home.

This story strikes deep. It’s a wake-up call about what happens when politics meet personal pain. It’s about identity, regret, and the very real consequences of voting choices.

Her story is resonating with people all over the country—especially in immigrant communities that have seen firsthand the damage caused by policies that target undocumented families. She’s taking accountability and using her platform to speak out.

No one gets a free pass. But in her own words, she’s trying to “move forward with compassion and fight for those who can’t fight for themselves.”
This is bigger than TikTok. It’s about knowing where you come from and understanding the systems working against your people. Her pain is real, her regret is heavy—and now she’s using her voice to make a difference. But the internet? They’re not letting her forget that vote.
