Cuba Gooding Jr. Says He’s Praying for Diddy During Sex Trafficking Trial: “I Don’t Judge Anybody”

As Diddy faces federal sex trafficking allegations, actor Cuba Gooding Jr. is choosing prayer over judgment, even as his own name surfaced in a past lawsuit involving the Bad Boy mogul.

TMZ caught up with the Academy Award winner at LAX, where Gooding admitted it’s hard to ignore the headlines.

“You turn your TV on, and see it everywhere,” he said.

Gooding, 57, acknowledged the gravity of the accusations but emphasized empathy for everyone involved.

“Like I said, I pray for the brother, and I pray for the victims, and I pray for Cassie and her family,” he stated. “That’s all I can do from a bystander’s point of view.”

In 2023, Gooding’s name was briefly mentioned in a civil lawsuit filed against Combs, although he was dropped from the case. Despite that past connection, Gooding says he’s not here to pass judgment.

“You know, it’s hard to, but yeah, I feel sympathy,” he said. “They say, he without sin, cast the first stone. I don’t judge anybody.”

Court proceedings were paused Wednesday after a juror reported vertigo symptoms, with Judge Arun Subramanian announcing the trial will resume Friday following the Juneteenth holiday.

Gooding’s response reflects a broader call for empathy, even as the courtroom drama surrounding one of music’s most powerful figures continues to unfold.
