50 Cent is looking to throw more than just bars as he’s reportedly in talks to play Balrog in the upcoming “Street Fighter” film. Known in the gaming world as a brutal, disgraced boxer from Las Vegas who became a violent enforcer for Shadaloo, Balrog first appeared in “Street Fighter II.”
“Curtis Jackson is in talks to portray Balrog,” a source told Nexus Point News.
50, whose rap career exploded in 2003 with “Get Rich or Die Tryin,” also found success on-screen and behind the camera. He starred in “Home of the Brave,” “Righteous Kill,” and executive produces the entire “Power” universe.
The movie, directed by Kitao Sakurai (Bad Trip), includes Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Jason Momoa as Blanka, Roman Reigns as Akuma, and Orville Peck as Vega. Legendary Pictures is producing alongside Capcom, though Sony has removed the film from its release calendar for now.
