Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have quietly ended their long-running relationship, and according to insiders, the split had been brewing for some time.
Word first got out when a source told Us Weekly the two had officially broken up but were keeping things civil.
“They are still very much in touch and coparenting Daisy together,” a source close to the former couple exclusively told the outlet. “Orlando brought Daisy to meet Katy on tour before heading to the Bezos’ wedding. It’s not messy between them.”
Behind the scenes, things allegedly hadn’t been smooth for a while. According to the same source, the tension wasn’t new. Their relationship had reportedly been on edge for months, with distance, work, and mounting stress contributing to the disconnect. Katy has been focusing on her music. She’s currently performing across the globe on her Lifetimes tour and staying busy to avoid being consumed by the breakup.
While on the road, she’s been renting out her Westcott estate in Montecito. The couple had once planned to turn it into a long-term family home, but those plans quietly fell through. A source confirmed they had already been living in separate homes before the tour even began.
Another insider shared that the two were holding off on going public with the split until Katy wrapped her tour. On top of the long-distance strain, insiders say the lukewarm reception to Katy’s latest album, “143,” didn’t help the situation.
Despite the breakup, they remain united when it comes to their daughter. Four-year-old Daisy Dove recently joined Katy on stage in Perth, showing that co-parenting remains a priority. Katy and Orlando’s story began in 2016 after meeting at a Golden Globes afterparty. They got engaged in 2019 and welcomed Daisy in 2020.
Now, nearly ten years later, the two have decided to go their separate ways.
