Florida Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna has confirmed she is personally involved in making sure Nicki Minaj remains safe after the rapper accused a Top Dawg Entertainment affiliate of threatening her life.
On social media, Nicki Minaj shared that TDE’s MackWop allegedly told her she would be “put in the blender like your boy did,” a statement she took as a direct threat. Minaj immediately tagged the FBI and CIA and reached out to Luna for help, calling the comments criminal and demanding protection.
Rep. Luna quickly responded and has now tweeted a public update. She confirmed she spoke directly with Nicki and stated she is “doing everything we can to ensure her safety.” Luna added that threats of violence and assassination are taken very seriously and that her office is forwarding the information to law enforcement. She also called out corruption in the rap industry, stressing that artists deserve respect and should not live in fear of labels or executives.
In the same tweet, Luna made it clear that any RICO-related activity is illegal, suggesting that some of the intimidation and bullying tactics in the industry may need deeper legal investigation. While TDE has yet to comment, Luna’s involvement has now brought government attention to the situation, turning what began as online tension into a matter for law enforcement.
