Denzel Perryman, veteran linebacker for the L.A. Chargers, is facing a felony charge after being arrested Friday in South L.A. Authorities say they found two illegal AR-style rifles and three handguns in his trunk while he was reportedly headed to a gun range.
Perryman is still behind bars and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
His agent told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, “Denzel is a respected veteran in the NFL and a dedicated father, teammate, and professional. While we do not take this situation lightly, we remain confident that the matter will be resolved fairly and in accordance with the law.”
