Georgia rapper T-Hood, born Tevin Hood, has tragically died at 33 after being shot at his Gwinnett County home.
According to TMZ, officers responded to a reported dispute that ended in gunfire. First responders gave medical aid before rushing him to a nearby hospital, but he did not survive his injuries. Police confirmed one person has been detained, and the case is being investigated as a homicide. A motive has not yet been released.
Just weeks before his death, T-Hood posted a haunting Instagram video promoting his track “Grave Diggerz.” Dressed as a ghost with a white sheet and red paint around the eyes, he delivered an eerie message: “Hello, are you still alive? We are dead down at the cemetery. Come down to the cemetery, I have a spot for you.”
He added, “All you have to do is die. Just die today. You die today, you get to come and play—come on down.”
Following the news, his longtime producer Deddotwill shared his disbelief on Instagram. “We was just on the phone all day I cant believe you are gone,” he wrote.
T-Hood, known for his gritty style and loyal Atlanta fanbase, had been steadily releasing music, with his last single, “Girls in The Party,” dropping on May 12th. Over the years, he carved out his space in Georgia’s rap scene, collaborating with local artists and building a cult following through both his music and his bold visuals.
Police say the investigation is ongoing, and no further details about the suspect or possible motive have been made public.
