Friday afternoon, some of our favorite women attended Variety’s 5th Annual Power of Women event held at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, California. The women were honored for their hard work and contributions. Seeing so many women that support one another without tearing each other down is so refreshing.
Each of the women attended the event wearing some of our favorite designers, so lets check out who wore what and what they were honored for….
Elizabeth Banks wore a Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2013 red-hot two-piece which both featured lace embroideries and nude Christian Louboutin ‘So Kate’ pumps. Elizabeth was honored for her work with the American Heart Association’s Go Red For Women movement.
Kerry Washington attended the event in a Vince Camuto cocktail dress.The flared jacquard dress features gold gilded polka dots. Kerry’s look was styled with studded Christian Louboutin ‘Malabar Hill’ pumps and a tan Nancy Gonzalez clutch. Mrs. Washington was honored for her work supporting the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities.
Jennifer Hudson wore a fitted white Yigal Azrouël Fall 2013 long-sleeve dress featuring an architectural peplum-detail. Jennifer paired her dress with black Saint Laurent pumps and clutch with a gold accents and a Samsung Galaxy Gear watch. Mrs. Hudson was honored with the Samsung Galaxy Impact Award for her work with the Julian D. King Gift Foundation.
Nicole Kidman wore a L’Wren Scott Fall 2013 black long-sleeve dress with gold metallic trims featured stitched contour seaming, buttons, cuffs and pointy collar. Nicole’s look was paired with Jimmy Choo ‘Rumba” sandals. She was honored for working with the UN Women.
Darby Stanchfield was not one of the honorees but she did attend the event alongside her ‘Scandal’ co-star Katie Lowes. The very beautiful actress wore a pastel-hued, graphic floral print Valentino short sleeve frock paired with an Oscar Tiye black leather studded clutch and gold pumps.
Katie Lowes wore a white loose fit Sportmax dress with black trims and a zipper accents which she styled with L.K. Bennett black-and-white pumps. To give her look a little more color, she added a grey Nancy Gonzalez clutch and touch of pink to her lips.
Jessica Alba’s company,The Honest Company, sponsored a special lounge.The actress wore a Christian Dior Fall 2013 anthracite and black wool metallic houndstooth strapless dress which was with silver metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Myth’ strappy sandals.
Ana Ortiz from the hit show ‘Devious Maids’ wore Christopher Kane Resort 2013 feminine silk-organza dress. The dress features black brushstrokes and bright-blue flowers.
