Cardi B is entering a new season in her life, one that combines motherhood with the biggest artistic commitments of her career.
On CBS Mornings, the Grammy-winning rapper confirmed she is expecting a child with Stefon Diggs. The announcement came just days before her sophomore album Am I The Drama? is set to drop.
The long-anticipated project will be released Friday, closing a seven-year gap since Invasion of Privacy, the debut album that propelled Cardi to international recognition. Fans have been waiting for her return, and she has assured them that both the album and live performances will meet their expectations.
Touring will follow shortly after the album drops. The Little Miss Drama tour begins in February and runs through April, covering major cities such as Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and Toronto. The shows mark Cardi’s first time headlining her own tour, a milestone she has been working toward since the start of her career.
Cardi used social media to reinforce her message that neither her pregnancy nor the pressures of preparing for a tour will hold her back.
On X she posted, “Album drops Friday! Thank you everybody for the love and support…by the time tour comes I’ll be doing splits, somersaults backflips and handstands,” as quoted by Billboard. She added, “I want this really bad and I’m on a very strict plan.. trust me I’m determined to give my fans the best album AND tour experience!!”
The “Outside” rapper is preparing for one of the most demanding schedules of her career while embracing a new chapter in her personal life.
Instead of choosing between the two, she is stepping into both at once, promising fans that she will deliver onstage while also preparing for motherhood.
