Joshua Allen, who won Season 4 of “So You Think You Can Dance,” has died after being struck by a train near his home in Texas, according to a family member who spoke with TMZ.
Authorities in Fort Worth responded to a call Tuesday reporting a person had been hit by a train. Allen was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he later passed away. A family source described the 35-year-old as “a man of integrity” and a devoted family man who cherished holiday gatherings and bringing loved ones together under one roof.
In one of their last conversations, Allen shared a message that summed up his core values: “One of the last things he said was to keep God first at all times. You have to be real with yourself before you can be real with anybody else.”
Close friend Emmanuel Hurd also remembered him fondly, calling him “a very honest, real person.”
The Fort Worth Police Department says the incident remains under investigation.
