Charlamagne Tha God named Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, known globally as Nicki Minaj, “Donkey of the Day” on The Breakfast Club after saying she launched into another chaotic social media run. The segment followed earlier Breakfast Club commentary that critiqued her tone toward Cardi B and others, describing the energy as negative and combative.
According to Charlamagne, Nicki’s replies escalated quickly. He says she took a jab at his appearance, tagged the White House and demanded the hosts be locked up, then pivoted into political posts calling to “take them down” when referring to Democrats. He suggested the political heat may trace back to Democrats embracing other women in rap at campaign events, naming Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B and others.
Charlamagne gave Nicki her flowers for the legacy, calling her an icon who helped shape a new generation of women MCs. Then he drew a line. In his view, the current pattern of feuds and constant online friction has turned the “pink print” into what he called the “stink print,” arguing that fans are watching a pioneer model bitterness instead of leadership.
The host also rejected a viral claim that The Breakfast Club and music executive Michael Kyser plotted “witchcraft attacks” against Nicki. He called the allegation unserious and stood by Kyser as an industry veteran who has always treated him with respect. He questioned the narrative that Nicki was ever blackballed, pointing to her sales, tours and influence as proof she remains a benchmark in rap.
Charlamagne closed with compassion. He said the outbursts look like unhealed pain, not industry sabotage, and urged Nicki to find space for therapy or counseling. The message was simple. Healing is personal work, and a legend does not need to fight the timeline to prove anything.
