NFL star Stefon Diggs is embroiled in a serious legal conflict following assault allegations.
The dispute involves “Basketball Wives” personality Mulan Hernandez, who claims that an early morning confrontation at Diggs’ apartment in June 2024 left her physically injured.
Hernandez alleges that the incident also included attempts by Diggs to coerce her into signing a non-disclosure agreement to prevent the events from reaching the NFL or the public. Both parties have filed lawsuits in Texas, presenting sharply conflicting accounts of what occurred.
Hernandez, 24, filed a counterclaim on April 7 in Texas, claiming that Diggs punched her in the back of the head during the confrontation, resulting in a concussion diagnosed that same day. She also alleges that Diggs “mounted an effort to induce [Hernandez] into signing a non-disclosure agreement so that Diggs’ malicious and egregious act would be kept from the NFL and from public view.”
Hernandez claims that he “frantically” flew his personal assistant to Houston to push the NDA and is seeking between $250,000 and $1 million in damages for medical costs, emotional distress, and physical injuries.
Diggs, 31, has denied all wrongdoing and filed his own lawsuit in February, claiming that he was the one attacked. He described their relationship as casual and said Hernandez showed up at his apartment around 6 A.M. with a friend, Brianna Mack, after a night of partying.
“Hernandez burst through the bathroom and into the gaming room, visibly intoxicated and upset,” his lawsuit reads. “[Diggs] told Hernandez to leave, but she refused.”
According to Diggs, Hernandez caused significant damage to his property, including a $130,000 watch and a gaming console, and punched him multiple times in the chest. He also claims that she threatened him with a weapon. Diggs maintains that his actions during the incident were purely in self-defense.
His legal team has argued that the claims against him are motivated by money.
“Said simply, [Diggs] brings this case because he will not be victimized by the attempts of defendants to extort money from him,” his attorney stated. The team further claims that Hernandez and Mack “tried to use their newly spun tale to extort millions of dollars from [Diggs].”
As the legal battle unfolds, the outcome could have significant consequences for both Diggs and Hernandez.
