Six weeks have passed since the tragic discovery of Celeste Rivas’ body inside D4vd’s Tesla, and frustration is growing over the lack of updates from the police. The property’s owner, Mladen Trifunovic, confirmed he has taken matters into his own hands by hiring a private investigator to look into the case.
The rented home, occupied by D4vd’s manager, was previously searched by authorities as part of the investigation into Rivas’ death.
“Our private investigator’s work is still ongoing, and I don’t have any findings to share at this time. It’s still early in the process, and I want to respect both the LAPD’s investigation and the memory of the victim,” Trifunovic told TMZ. He added that he has not received any information from law enforcement.
The case gained national attention after police discovered Rivas’ decomposing body inside the artist’s Tesla, which had been towed from near the residence to a Hollywood impound lot. Authorities were alerted by a foul odor coming from the vehicle.
Officials believe Rivas, who friends in D4vd’s circle reportedly thought was 19, had been dead for several weeks. She was reported missing earlier this year from her home in Lake Elsinore, California.
Since the discovery, D4vd has canceled his tour, postponed his album “Withered,” and moved out of the property. The LAPD stated that the investigation remains active and that updates will be shared once available.
