Three years after his own child rape case, is it possible that Lawrence Taylor’s son could be getting off scott free?
Lawrence Taylor Jr, son of NFL legend Lawrence “LT” Taylor, was arrested back in July after being accused of statutory rape, child molestation, and sodomy. A minor under the age of 16 accused Lawrence Taylor Jr of forcibly performing oral sex on her (legally referred to as “sodomy” in this case). Another underage girl also accused him of having sex with her multiple times last year. If convicted Lawrence Taylor Jr could face 25 years to life in prison. The statutory rape charge alone carries a sentence of 1 to 20 years.
We learn today that Jr has been released from jail after his mother posted a $50,000 bond. His father faced similar charges in 2010 when he was accused of statutory rape and patronizing a prostitute after paying a 16 year old girl $300 for sex. As we all know, the NFL legend plead guilty to one count of patronizing a prostitute and one count of sexual misconduct. He was sentenced to 6 years probation with no jail time and was ordered to register as a sex offender.
