Tyson Gay has test positive multiple times and has failed drug tests this year. According to the Huffington Post, Gay may not have known that something he was taking was a banned drug. Gay is working with the USADA during this invesitgation and he has removed himself from the World Championships. The penalty for human growth hormone, steroids and serious doping substances is a ban of two years.
According to the Huffington Post, Gay fought back tears in a phone interview about the test results. “I don’t have a sabotage story. I don’t have any lies. I don’t have anything to say to make this seem like it was a mistake or it was on USADA’s hands, someone playing games,” he said. “I don’t have any of those stories. I basically put my trust in someone and I was let down.” The person Tyson Gay may have trusted is the Atlanta-based Anti-Aging doctor Clayton Gibson.
