If I stole an Escalade and in the process killed the owner, do you blame Cadillac or me for my actions? Do you fault GMC for not making the Escalade an affordably priced SUV where anyone can purchase it; or is the onus on me? You would say that I am responsible for my actions and that GMC is in the business to make money. I should know better. If that is the case, then why do you hold #MichaelJordan responsible for the acts of others?
Anytime MJ name is mentioned, there is contention. Yes, individuals lose their life behind his shoes, but is Jordan to blame or the individual? In this world, there will always be the HAVES and the HAVE NOTS. Because I may not be able to get his shoes on release date, does that mean I have a right to steal from and/or kill someone who was fortunate it to purchase them? Michael Jordan can increase production 5000X and there will never be enough supply for his demand. Does that mean he should negate his business model to accommodate the few that were unable to purchase them? ( Fact: Jordan has increased supply and even does restocks. Sad Reality: People will still kill because they do not want to wait.) Jordan is in a business to make money, not fill the financial holes that the individual has or parents created. Do we tell Bentley to drop its price? No. We do not seek change from other producers, so why do we expect it from Jordan?
We will point fingers at Jordan because our child killed someone, yet we don’t realize that three of those fingers point back to us. If Jordan can be blamed, then why not the parents? You raised the materialistic ingrate. You placed value on tangible goods. You told them that having Jordans meant something. When they would come home and ask you for things because the other kids had them, you would break your neck and buy those exact things. You bred that jealousy and entitlement. You reared the insatiable child that felt the world was obligated to give him what he wanted no matter what. Why don’t you wear your crown of failure as a parent? Oh, that’s right, you can’t be held responsible for something your child does, but somehow Jordan can.
To make matters worse, you rally behind causes without proven facts. “Jordan doesn’t donate to our causes. He makes money off of us.” “Jordan invests in prisons.” Did you research those allegations yourself or did you read a meme and automatically assumed they were true? I didn’t know every time someone donated, it had to be public record. Whenever people do donate, you are the very ones that complain about the timing, amount and intentions. “Boycott him”, you scream. “He isn’t standing with us, he doesn’t deserve our business.”
Where are your demands for Apple, Samsung, the manufacturer of your car? Did you ask Gucci or Louboutin to stand? What about the Asians that do your nails or supply your bundles? Did you ask your banking institutions or your mortgage company? Not at all, but you place those demands on MJ – why? Because he is a successful black man and some how he or anyone in his position is suppose to be the savior of the black community? You’ll boycott Jordan who makes about $100M or so from shoe sales, but turn around and support other producers by spending billions with them? They didn’t stand for you. I guess that’s ok. You’ll get on social media (non –black owned) using your cell phone manufactured by non-blacks on a network thats not supplied by blacks. Any other tragedy gets a filter or a #prayfor tag, yet not one filter was created for the victims of #BokoHaram. Has their been a filter of solidarity for #AltonSterling or #PhilandoCastile? You won’t boycott them because that means losing access to things you value Because you don’t wear Jordans you think it’s the appropriate solution.
That’s what the fake woke movement will get you- doing a bunch of asinine things that really don’t require any effort or thought on your part. When you know better, you will do better. Stop holding Jordan accountable for things that you as an individual do not want responsibility for. Jordan isn’t our savior and we shouldn’t make him.

BTW: Stop saying Jordan sales the same shoes in different colors. Every designer does that. I bet you didn’t think about that either. Someone else said it and you bought it hook, line and sinker.
