Three MTSU football players are Arrested & Suspended

Cornerback Rodney O’Neal, Defensive Tackle Marcus Robinson, Defensive Tackle J.D. Jones

These three rising sophomores have been arrested and indefinitely suspended from the Middle Tennessee State University football team. DT J.D. Jones is being charged with aggravated assault and the other two guys are being charged with two counts of aiding and abetting. What that means is CB Rodney O’Neal and DT Marcus Robinson watched Jones choke his girlfriend and they videotaped the incident.

According to the Murfreesboro Daily News Journal, the campus police report stated that the choking was an attempt by the DT Jones to get the female to cough up money that would be used to buy marijuana. So let me get this straight: You play football for a university, you are getting ready for the next football season and you jeopardize everything for a bag of weed while assaulting a woman.

The assault alone is bad enough without the fact that the other two guys recorded the incident. SERIOUSLY! Some of your smart phones are actually dumb because you, the user, aren’t smart enough to use them right! Think before you put your hands on someone. Think before you videotape something that can be used against you. I am done!
