Los Angeles Clippers guard JJ Redick is pushing back after the website MediaTakeOut posted images of what it described as a legal agreement from 2007 involving Redick and a former girlfriend, Vanessa.
MediaTakeOut posted the images on Tuesday, July 23. According to the site, the paperwork dated to Redick’s rookie year and laid out terms tied to a pregnancy, including a payment of $25,000 if the relationship ended within a set period. It was not clear how the site obtained the paperwork, and the document’s authenticity has not been verified.
Redick responded on Wednesday, July 24, calling the reports “outrageous, false and malicious.” He said Vanessa was never pregnant with his child and that no pregnancy of his child was ever ended. He did acknowledge that the two had a relationship in 2007. Vanessa had not publicly commented at the time of this report.
