So, apparently I missed the memo that it was the hot new thing for men to dress like women. I let men wearing pink slide because when worn correctly, pink can look really nice on a man. A pink Polo shirt looks nice on a golf course. Some of these other trends that have popped up, I am beginning to question and with ASAP Rocky giving make up advice to dark skinned girls, I had to get more involved.
JEGGINGS – Jeggings are jean + leggings and when the skinny jean trend got too boring, the jeggings became more popular. Thankfully this trend died down a little after lasting for about a year.
BLOUSES – This was clearly a case of buying your clothes from the women’s department. Kanye almost got away with it until we saw what the blouse was intended to look like. I don’t think men should shop in the women’s department at all, no matter how much you dress it up. If you are wearing our clothes, what do we get to wear?
THE SUN DRESS – Now, I never thought I’d ever see a man in a sun dress but ASAP Rocky intends on proving me wrong. While he’s giving tips on women’s make up, he should try to find a way to wear hobo-chic without incorporating the Forever 21 dress.
SKIRTS – Can we all agree that the kilt should be left to the Scottish? Men have got to stop looking for reasons to wear a skirt. You’re wearing dresses, skirts, leggings and next thing you’ll be wearing a full face of makeup and calling it hip hop. I’m too done!
TIGHTS – Rappers are now wearing tights under their shorts. I did the same thing in kindergarten. I feel like that should say enough. Fellas, leave the tights alone unless you play football, okay?
