After disorderly conduct charges were brought up against Katt Williams and the 17 year old Georgia teen he fought a few weeks ago, both parties have been arrested.
Katt Williams was arrested at his Gainesville, GA home for fighting 17 year old Luke Wash at a suburban Atlanta apartment complex. A viral video captures Katt Williams throwing the first punch before the high schooler eventually puts him in a submission hold. Witnesses say Wash’s trash talking provoked the fight. The footage also shows Wash following Williams and confronting him as he sat with his back to a brick wall.
“They both played roles in this altercation,” Gainesville Police Sgt. Kevin Holbrook told Atlanta’s WSB TV. “They both should have known better.”
“This was a social-media phenomenon that became a disorderly-conduct charge against both Katt and the young man,” he said. “I’ve looked at all the video footage and you can clearly see a Gainesville police officer there. Nobody made a complaint that day. I interviewed the officer and all he observed was Katt on his best behavior.”
Williams is due in court on Thursday.
