I’m Just Not Into You: 5 Ways To Let Him Down Easy

We’ve all been in a situation when a man really likes you and you don’t share the sentiment. Either he’s someone you’ve always known or someone who just wants to get to know you, either way you’re just not that into him and with a world full of crazies you want to let him down easy. I’ve compiled some good ways to let a man down without having him stalk you after words.

5) “I have a boyfriend” – Every woman has used this before. Sometimes it’s followed by the ever annoying “Can you have friends?” in which a simple “No” is a sufficient answer. Be careful when using this excuse with someone who knows you however. He won’t take kindly to you lying to him and having a boyfriend is a tough lie to upkeep. 

4) “I discovered Im not in to guys anymore” – That’s right, tell him you’re gay. What man is going to dispute your sexuality? All he can do is respect it. By the time you get another man just tell him you had a change of heart…it happens!

3) “I’m too unstable to be with anyone. I need to work on me” – Nothing drives a man off more than him thinking you’re flat out crazy. You can always follow this statement by telling him stories about how you keyed your last boyfriends car, stalked his new girlfriend and you’re currently in therapy. He’s guaranteed to leave you alone.

2) “I need a man that can afford to give me nice things” – Tell him you’re a gold digger, flat out! Only good can come from this. Either he’ll head for the hills like you want him to or he’ll take it upon himself to pay some bills and spend some cash. Either way, who’s complaining?

1) “You’re like a brother to me” – The good ol’ friend zone. No guy wants to be in it, but there’s almost no way out of it. This is the absolute number one way to let a guy down easy. Granted you don’t have to really treat him like a brother, he wouldn’t really know the difference.
