Your Baller Is Unemployed, Do You Bounce?

You made an agreement, you’re here for the money, the lifestyle, and hey, your baller is a cutie. Then the lock out happens and his employment isn’t guaranteed.

Given that an agreement has been made, is it insensitive to bounce if the checks stop coming in? Let’s face it, most women making these agreements become future basketball wives. Chances are, he knew what he was getting in to when he got with you. He knew that when he started putting red bottoms on your feet, buying you new hand bags every other week and paying your bills and car note that you would become accustomed to the lifestyle. Is the kept woman really obligated to stick around if her baller isn’t fulfilling his side of the deal? It’s not that he has to be unemployed. Even Delonte West found a gig at a furniture store. I’m sure Delonte’s checks can buy something nice over time. Anything is better than no money at all, right?

Most people would say the woman is insensitive to leave. They would say that she knew getting into the situation that he may get injured, he may get traded, he could lose it all at any time. Most would say, stick it out, he could bounce back and be bigger and better than ever. I would probably agree knowing that if you stick around it’s like receiving the ultimate gold star. If the thinks you’re there for him, he may treat you better. Every man truly wants a ride or die. You never know, you may actually be in it for a little more than money. This is how basketball wives are made.

I could never blame a woman for leaving though. The man wants a trophy, the woman wants a sugar daddy. That is the agreement that is made. The man would leave you if you got fat and ugly so why can’t the woman leave if the man no longer has income. It’s only fair that you hold up your end of the deal. The NBA lockout, for example, isn’t a reason to be unemployed. This is how business is done. You uphold your end and I’ll do mine.
