The Denver Post reports that by the end of next week, Peyton Manning “will acknowledge his decision” to retire. Rumor has it, the Super Bowl champ has already notified close family and friends that he plans to retire in the off season.Â
The Broncos VP of Public Relations tells a different story, however. “Peyton has not made a decision on his future,” Patrick Smyth tweeted. “Plan remains for him to continue talks with the team this week.”
John Elway, Broncos general manager, also spoke on Peyton Manning while at the scouting combine. “I met with Peyton a couple nights ago and we had a good talk,” Elway said. “As I said after the game, we’ll give him as much time as he needs. He still needs some more time so we’re going to afford him that time. He deserves it after 18 years in this league.”
Do you think after winning big at the Super Bowl that Manning will go out with a bang? Do you think he still has a little more left in him?
