A 20-year-old man is accused of shooting and decapitating his grandparents inside of their Oklahoma City home. Police officers discovered the grizzly scene after performing a welfare check around 2pm.
Upon their arrival, officers immediately spotted Quinton Laster, 20, standing outside of the home. Officers detained Laster and kept him there as they started into the home, which doubled as a day care.
Once inside, officers discovered the horrific scene; 59-year-old Sharon Reed and 70 year old James Reed were shot and decapitated. According to officers, Mr. and Mrs. Reed were Laster’s grandparents.
Also inside of the residence, in an attached garage, police found three small children who belonged to the daycare, huddled together. It has not been determined whether or not the children witnessed the crime scene, however none of them were hurt and were safely returned to their families.
More details are expected to be released, but for now Laster is being held on two counts of first-degree murder.
