When it’s wash day the last thing you want to do is add another step into your routine. Though it may be an extra step you don’t want to take, deep conditioning your natural hair is very important.

I like to think of deep conditioning as a cure to dry and damaged hair. Depending on what your hair is going through, deep conditioning keeps your hair smooth and easy to manage while also repairing dry hair, heat damage, split ends, frizz and retaining hair length.

Deep conditioning should be done at least once or twice every week; especially if you’ve noticed your curls are going limp or feeling too dry.

Deep conditioning is important because it’s made to penetrate hair follicles by infusing key nutrients and promoting extra moisture. Adding deep conditioners to your weekly routine helps restore your hair’s elasticity which means your hair can be stretched without causing breakage. The best part about deep conditioners is; it’s capability to help your hair grow longer!

The next time you’re shopping around for new hair products look out for a natural deep conditioner in other names: masque, treatment, hydrating, strengthening, and restorative.

What are some deep conditioners that you suggest?
